Everything was metal, except for that one hand and part of his wrist.  I mean WHY?!  I looked at this show like a what if?!  --What if RoboCop was also a bird and had other bird-bot bionic friends?!  It was these kind of questions that got me thrown out of Catholic School when I was in the 5th Grade.  Evidently its not good to ask Nuns and other adults too many questions when you are just a 9 year old in Catholic School.  I got tired of hearing it just is that way and being expected to leave it alone from then on.  btw:  I never asked to go to Catholic School.  It was my Grandmother's idea.  I say thrown out but they simply called my mother and asked her to come in to the office and she was asked very politely to not bring me back anymore, despite a $600 per year tuition.  The Mother Superior (Nun) and Principal suggested that I be placed into another school.  I digress, but old 198os memories are all connected for me.
